Important Meeting Updates  July 13, 2018  8:30 AM LibCal Stacey is working on training everyone on LibCal which will go live at the end of this month. Ariel and Cedric will serve as back ups for program approval. You are responsible for getting your programs to Stacey ASAP to secure a room Direct Patrons to online catalog to reserve the rooms Shelf Reading Log shelf reading each time you complete it. If you are scheduled five hours of shelf reading then there should be five responses submitted, not one for the whole week. New shelf reading process includes scanning the items. If you do not scan the items then it does not count. CSD/ Recovery of Areas Do not hang out around the customer service desk during the last hour. Everyone should be recovering their areas. All Staff Meeting  June 1 Sick Leave Everyone has to initial and sign the sick leave memorandum. This memorandum came directly from the Mayor and Dr. Lawson. HR and the Branch Manager will run reports on the use of Sick Leave If the staff member is abusing sick leave then this can cause disciplinary actions  Keep in mind if you will be gone more than 3 consecutive days you must provide a doctors note to your manager, i.e. Cedric  Library Card Applications No more paper library applications starting on June 30 or until we run out paper forms, whichever arrives first. Team Wear HPL is looking into piloting team wear, which is staff uniforms The plan is to give each staff member four shirts for free for the first year. The prizes will include various stationary items and a mix candy. VISION BOARD BASH Monique is hosting a Vision Board Bash on  Saturday, February 3rd from 2pm-3:30pm.  She is signing up 10 attendees maximum since it is being held in the Conference Room. This event is catered toward adults.  Encourage people to sign up for this. See Monique about a sign up sheet.

NEW ADULT BOOK CLUB Stacey and Temeka are working on getting an Adult Book Club started here at our library.  The time of this book club will be the following: Fourth Thursday of every month  5:30pm-6:30pm First Meeting is February 22 Please be sure to spread the word!
