1.
Future Staff Meetings
a.
One ALL Staff meeting every month
i.
Djuina will be attending the first full one
which will be held in June.
ii.
Each meeting will have a team building activity
involved. Ariel will oversee the first one. Monique and Ariel will oversee
keeping moral high by doing an employee of the month and/or other activities.
More information to come.
b.
One on one meetings with staff will be every
other month
i.
First 30 minutes of individual meetings will be
staff talking. Be sure to prepare items to discuss in advance
2.
Monthly Reports
a.
Due on the 5th of every month.
Turning them in late will reflect on your HEAR plan.
b.
Make sure the report matches your SMART Goals.
c.
The more evidence the better. For example,
customer comment forms are important to include in your monthly reports.
3.
KRONOS
a.
Be sure to work your scheduled shift according
to kronos. If there are any changes please notify Cedric.
b.
Take your full lunch, if for some reason you got
to lunch late due to helping a patron be sure to let Cedric or Ariel so the
schedule may be adjusted.
c.
No comp time!
d.
You are just a responsible for your time as the
manager, meaning you need to pay attention to your hours.
4.
Entering Building
a.
Two people must be in the building always. The
cleaning crew members count as an extra person.
5.
Days Off
a.
Friday’s are extremely tight so we will look in
the future to having people shift their off days to ensure coverage.
6.
Outreach
a.
Outreach will be a part of everyone’s SMART
goals in the next fiscal year.
b.
The youth team will need to connect more with
the day cares.
c.
If you don’t feel comfortable doing an outreach
then you will have to help with outreach planning.
7.
Last Hour of the Day
a.
If the schedule doesn’t reflect that you are
involved in something else, then everyone is required to be out on the floor
during the last hour.
b.
If someone is scheduled to recover an area and
they need help, be sure to offer a helping hand if you are free.
8.
Kids and Teen Area
a.
Kids must remain in kids’ area and teens in the
teen are
b.
Both areas must be monitored especially the
corners in the teen and kid’s area.
c.
Be consistent with the rules
i.
No eating, no touching, youth remain in
designated areas
9.
Additional Items
a.
Use the phone greeting for internal and external
calls
b.
Start programs and end them on time
i.
If it starts at 3:30pm then you must be ready at
3:30pm.
c.
If you can display books in your areas, do so.
However, display books near the correct alphabetical section.
d.
Keep personals calls at a minimum.
e.
If you have questions about Youth Programming
ask Michelle, Ariel, or Stacey.
f.
Try to get paging out as soon as possible. If
you can’t finish ask another staff member for assistance.
